LifeQuiz Privacy Policy
Last updated: June 16, 2026
LifeQuiz is made by Good Bear LLC ("we," "us," or "our"). This policy explains what information the LifeQuiz app collects, how we use it, and the choices you have. We've tried to keep it readable without leaving anything out. If anything here is unclear, email us at contact@goodbearentertainment.com — real humans, real replies.
Who we are
LifeQuiz is a daily self-tracking app: you answer your own set of questions each day, and the app stores and visualizes your responses over time. LifeQuiz is operated by Good Bear LLC, reachable at contact@goodbearentertainment.com.
Information we collect
We only collect what the app needs in order to work:
Account information. When you create an account, we collect your email address. If you sign in with Google or Apple, we also receive the name and email address (or Apple's private relay email) associated with that account. We don't collect your birthday or any other personal details.
Your quiz data. Because daily tracking is the whole point of the app, we store the responses you log: your answers, the numeric values tied to them, the dates you completed each quiz, and any free-text notes you add to a day. This is stored in Google Firebase (Firestore) and tied to your account.
Your custom questions. If you subscribe and create your own questions, we store those so they're there each time you open the app.
Subscription information. If you subscribe, your purchase is processed by Apple through the App Store. We receive your subscription status from Apple so we can unlock paid features, but we never see or store your payment card or billing details — Apple handles all of that.
Technical and diagnostic data. To keep the app stable and secure, we use Firebase Crashlytics, which collects crash reports and related diagnostic information — such as your device type, operating system and app version, and the state of the app when a crash occurs — along with an app-generated identifier. We use this only to find and fix bugs. We do not use behavioral analytics or advertising trackers, and we do not build advertising or marketing profiles about you.
What we do not collect
-
We do not sell your data — not to advertisers, data brokers, or anyone.
-
We do not collect your location.
-
We do not access your contacts, camera, microphone, photos, or any other device features beyond what's needed to run the app.
-
We do not use advertising SDKs, and we do not track you across other apps or websites or share your data with data brokers.
How we use your information
We use your data to:
-
Create and manage your account and sign you in.
-
Save, display, and visualize your quiz responses, notes, and questions (including the graphs).
-
Manage your subscription and unlock paid features.
-
Send you the optional daily reminder notification, if you turn it on.
-
Maintain, secure, troubleshoot, and improve the app.
We process this data to provide the service you signed up for, to comply with our legal obligations, and — where required — based on your consent (for example, notifications, which you control).
How your data is stored, secured, and kept
Your data is stored in Google Firebase (Firestore), which uses industry-standard encryption in transit and at rest. We take reasonable measures to protect your information, though no method of storage or transmission is ever 100% secure.
Free accounts. On the free plan, the app gives you access to your most recent 30 days of responses. Your earlier history remains stored in your account and becomes visible again if you upgrade.
Paid accounts. Your full history is stored and available for as long as your subscription is active.
When you delete your account (see "Your rights and choices" below), all of your data is removed.
If a data breach ever affects your personal information, we will notify you as required by applicable law.
How we share your information
We don't sell or rent your data. We share it only with the service providers that make the app work, and only as needed to provide it:
-
Google Firebase (Authentication, Firestore & Crashlytics) — sign-in, secure data storage, and crash reporting. See Google's Privacy Policy.
-
Google Sign-In — only if you choose to sign in with Google.
-
Apple — Sign in with Apple (if you use it) and StoreKit for subscription processing. See Apple's Privacy Policy.
These providers process data on our behalf under their own privacy and security commitments. Because Firebase and Apple operate globally, your data may be processed on servers outside your country, including in the United States.
Your rights and choices
You're in control of your data. You can:
-
Access it — it's all visible to you in the app.
-
Export it — paid subscribers can export their data to CSV anytime.
-
Delete your account — you can permanently delete your account and all associated data at any time, directly in the app, under Settings → Account Deletion. This removes your responses, notes, custom questions, and login. (Need a hand? Email us.)
-
Control notifications — turn daily reminders on or off anytime in the app or your device's settings.
If you're in the EEA or UK (GDPR): you have the right to access, correct, delete, restrict, or object to the processing of your personal data, and the right to data portability. You can use the in-app tools above or contact us to exercise these rights.
If you're in California (CCPA/CPRA): you have the right to know what personal information we collect, to request its deletion, and not to be discriminated against for exercising your rights. We do not sell or share your personal information.
To make any privacy request, email contact@goodbearentertainment.com.
Notifications
If you enable daily reminders, LifeQuiz schedules a local notification on your device at the time you choose. These are generated on your device, not sent from a server. You can turn them off anytime in the app or in your device's notification settings.
Children's privacy
LifeQuiz is not intended for children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with their information, please contact us and we'll delete it promptly.
Changes to this policy
If we make significant changes to this policy, we'll let you know in the app or by email, and we'll update the "Last updated" date at the top.
